At last some rain! Your lawn has endured a lot this year, a dry spring, over 30% less rainfall and record breaking temperatures.
Following the recent rains, we are seeing a return in lawn colour.
To aid recovery into the autumn period, we have amended our Autumn application to focus on Drought Recovery. As an independent lawn care business we are not tied into specific products, this enables us to use products that will best benefit your lawn during this recovery period.
Benefits of focussing on drought recovery will include:
- Vitality – The autumn feed will provide the macro and micro nutrients to help with recovery and reduce bare patches;
- Root growth – The feed contains nutrient for new root development and will aid seed germination;
- Grass colour – Natural seaweed plus trace elements like Magnesium will naturally assist with grass colour;
- Leaf conditioning – Amino acids, fulvic acids, natural sugars will alleviate plant stress;
- Weed control – Encouraged into germination by the summer drought, we anticipate that weeds will prosper during the autumn period, these will be targeted with a broad spectrum weed control;
- Hydration – hydrophobic soil conditions will be targeted by a wetting agent to help water penetration to the roots.
FAQ’s
Is the drought recovery treatment safe for Children & Pets?
Yes it is. We do ask that you keep off the lawn until the products applied have dried (usually less than 2 hours). We recommend that grazing pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs be kept off the lawn for the next 2-3 cuts to avoid ingestion of applied treatments.
Why Seaweed?
Seaweed is a natural product that has been used in horticulture for many years, its completely natural and has been used as a soil improver by farmers and gardeners for centuries. It’s from a sustainable source and it contains many of the micronutrients that plants need but that are not always available in the soil. It also contains plant growth hormones.
After application the product does have a “sweet smell”, as a natural product this is completely normal and will only last a short time.
