Here are our top tips for a great lawn this autumn and planning ahead for Spring.
1. Mowing
In autumn your lawn needs to benefit from as much sunlight as possible to give the plants energy to survive the winter. Raise the mower blades a little to help the plants. A weekly cut will deliver the best results, not forgetting the 1/3rd rule and don’t forget to trim the edges for a nice neat finish.
2. Autumn Leaves
Just mention the word “autumn” and images of brightly coloured leaves dancing in a crisp breeze jump to mind. But left on drives, path and patios they become a slippery mat. Left on your lawn, they can smother and kill your grass. Read more information here.
3. Renovation and Maintenance
All lawns benefit from remedial work, such as aeration, scarification and over seeding, combined with your regular cutting your outdoor space will have the best chance of thriving and becoming your lawn to love in a space to make memories.
