Why we have recommended
On our visit today we have made a note recommending Lawn Renovation , i.e, scarification and aeration of your lawn.
This is normally based on one or more reasons which could include:
- Spongy to foot
- Moss
- Lawn pests and disease
- The grass species which make up your lawn need attention
- Thatch levels are such that left unaddressed will lead to other lawn issues
A lawn needs regular thatch management in order to stay in shape and to make it easier to mow. Often, a lawn that appears in good condition is suffering from thatch; if you notice that your lawn is drying out quickly and yellowing, this could be an indication of this.
Lawn Renovation comprises of 4 different processes:
- The removal of thatch using our specialist machines
- Hollow-tine aeration to eliminate sub-surface thatch and compaction of the soil
- Over-seeding to improve the colour and texture of the grass leaves
- Application of Soil Improver to aid the germination of the seed and improve soil structure
Timing: Spring and Autumn
Once Lawn Renovation has been completed regular scarification will help maintain the lawn’s health.
