About the Winter treatment
Our Winter treatment is proven to help the lawn control winter moss and providing essential nutrients for a deep green colour and protection against winter fungal disease.
During the Winter it’s important to:
- Give the lawn a regular light cut (see tips in our free download)
- Keep the lawn clear of leaves. Left on the lawn they will quickly damage the grass
- Keep off the lawn when the grass is covered in frost.
On this treatment we apply a winter conditioner that will help the lawn through the winter months.
What the conditioner will do:
- “Greens up” even at lower soil temperatures
- Helps grass withstand winter fungal disease such as fusarium and red thread
- Improves plant cell structure for a healthier leaf
- Includes trace elements for added plant health.
Plus the Moss Control:
- The application rate is tailored for your lawn and conditions
- Fast acting, see a difference in 24 hours
- Improves ongoing moss control.
The moss control normally shows signs of working by turning the moss to brown to black. Raking out the treated moss will help prevent it from thriving in the future.
Topical tip; Cutting the lawn a few days prior to our visit will enable the moss control to make contact with more moss.

Winter lawn cutting advice
Correct mowing will make the difference between a “so-so” lawn and a great one. These few simple steps make a big difference in your lawns appearance, encouraging a thicker sward and deeper colour:
- A light topping of the grass is always better than a severe “hacking”
- Regular cutting requires less effort
- Mowing in the afternoon may be easier when the grass is drier
- Avoid mowing the lawn if frost is present
- Keep trimming the edges for that smart professional look.
Recommended Winter cutting heights
Your lawn appreciates adjusting the cutting height throughout the year, however, if you just want one setting for the entire season use the highest recommendation.
