UKLCA represented at Saltex 2023

John Draper, Past UKLCA Chairman and Managing Director of Greener Gardens represented the UKLCA at Saltex, Europe’s largest grounds management show where attendees hear from industry experts and see the latest technologies in turf management.

John participated in the Q&A session….

Integrated Pest Management in 2023
Amenity Forum’s National Action Plan and DEFRA’s pesticide policy compliance & enforcement.

The Q & A session was hosted by Ian Graham, Complete Weed Control and current Chairman of the Amenity Forum.

John Draper represented the UKLCA, other panellists were Peter Corbett, Jim Croxton CEO, BIGGA and Al Mason Development Director, LanGuard Ltd.

Peter Corbettt provided an updated on NAP progress and comments about the impact, concerns and opportunities were provided by Jim Croxton, John Draper and Al Mason representing each amenity sector.

Questions were then taken from the floor.

Key concerns raised were:
· Effectiveness of NAP
· The need for self-regulation
· Importance for voluntary raising standards and schemes like Amenity Standard and Basis Lawn Assured
· Importance of on going Consumer Education
